Mashed sweet potato balls with red beans

Ingredient

300g yellow sweet potatoes
2 tbsps condensed milk
2 tbsps sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 egg (beaten)
160g red beans
60g raw sugar bar
1/4 tsp salt

Method

Peel the sweet potatoes. Slice thinly and steam until soft. Mash finely while it is still hot.
Stir in condensed milk, butter and sugar.
Shape the mashed sweet potatoes into thick round patties and make a depression at the center of each patty.
Bake them in a preheated oven of 180℃ for 20 minutes. Brush beaten egg on.
Wash the red beans. Cook them in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes. Drain. Add 2 1/2 cups of water and cook for another hour until red beans are soft and water dries up. Mash the red beans and add salt and raw sugar bar. Mix well and cook until the red bean mixture turns thick. Turn off the heat. Scoop some red bean filling onto the centers of baked mashed potato patties. Serve.
